No handling time was considered within this cost model as it is considered part of the cycle, that while one part is running, the other parts are removed from the sheet. No allowance for rapid traverse is considered because motion is to be cutting not moving to positions. Multiple parts in a sheet are also not considered. In this model, the estimator is inputting the size of one piece only. This reasoning behind this is that multiple different parts can be made out on one sheet of the same thickness. That is an unforseen or calculable event, therefore the calculation is based on a per piece time.
