Body Weldments
The material cost will be calculated based on the weight multiplied by the cost per pound.
The times are calculated based on the core Costimator speeds, feeds for machining, machine and material specifications. The material group is steel only.
The saw cut time is based on data from Marvel saw time per square inch of area being cut for tubing.
The honing is based on Sunnen data.
The Welding is based on input from sources such as Lincoln Welding, Miller and Hobart.

This Product Cost Model is basically a steel tube with welded flanges at each end kind of like a smoke stack.
User Input
1. Enter the "Tube OD Diameter"
2. Enter the "Tube ID Inside Diameter"
3. Enter the "Tube Length"
4. Enter the "Flange Diameter"
5. Enter the "Flange Thickness".
This is the thickness of each flange to be welded on each end.
One flange per end.
6. Enter the "Fillet Weld Size".
This MIG welding process is done on the inside and outside of both faces of each flange.
7. Enter the "Hole Size".
Each assembly has the same number of holes drilled in a bolt circle thru each flange.
8. Enter the "Number of Holes".
9. The program will now calculate.
The tube saw time, the welding, honing of the internal diameter, the machining of the flanges and the drilling of the holes.
