Thread Grinding
The user of this data is assumed to have a manufacturing background with the need to know all of the details of this model.
THREAD GRINDING: Calculation for time is based on pitch and work speed. The workpiece is solid and has not been previously cut on the threads. Time is based on thread grinding with a single edge wheel. Machining recommendations came from review of the "Machining Data Handbook", 2nd Edition.

User Input
1. Select the "Part Weight Range"
2. Enter the "Part Dia to Grind"
3. Enter the "Thread Length to Grind"
4. Enter the "Pitch".
In Imperial units it is 1/threads per inch. In Metric units it is the pitch in mm.
5. Select the "Material Group".
6. According to the "Machinery's Handbook", thread grinding can be done from the solid in one pass for threads of 12 threads per inch or finer.
For other threads, the user can put in extra passes.
7. The grinding time and handling time is calculated by the system based on the thread size.
