Hobbing - using a Process Cost Model
Data came from use of Barber Coleman Calculator.
Handling time for loading and unloading the part is internal to the cycle. Most Gear shops have the operator operating more than one machine at one time, so load and unload would be internal to the cycle. General Handling is allowed.

User Input
1. The "Hob Diameter Size" has been defaulted to "4.00" inches.
User can change this.
2. Enter the "Machining Distance Length" or length of cut.
3. Enter the "Number of Teeth on Part"
4. The "Number of Starts (Hob)" is set to "1".
User can change.
5. Program calculates all remaining data including handling.
The "#Machines per Operator" is set to "3". User can change this.
