ID, Threads
Note that this type of thread is what is called "single point threading" or also called "chasing" a thread. Small holes less than 1.000 diameter are usually tapped instead of "single point threaded" as done here.
This Cost Model (CM) is normally used for Cylindrical Type Parts.

User Input
1. Enter the "Major Dia. of Thread"
2. Enter the "Threads per Inch"
This is commonly referred to as the pitch of the thread.
3. Enter the "Length" of the thread desired.
The program will now calculate the number of cuts and speeds and feeds based off of the detail method in Costimator. The final time is based on that master data.
