David LaJoie, VP Sales & Marketing

Dave began his career at MTI Systems in the summer of 2002. He oversees the company’s sales and marketing staff. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut. “What excites me the most about being part of the team here at MTI is knowing that our products and services have a direct impact on our customers’ bottom line.”

Dave is married and has two boys, 8 and 11. He is actively involved in various local youth sports programs and enjoys a day on the links whenever time allows.

To Answer Your Questions

Q: Can I do math calculations within Costimator rather than using a calculator and typing the answer into Costimator?

A: Yes, Costimator 10 now has the ability to input a formula into any numeric input box.

 

When the tab key is pressed, the formula is calculated and the result is displayed.

Q: Is there any way for me to export the current Costimator hard-coded reports to Excel?

A: Yes, Costimator now includes export scripts for 4 of the 5 Costimator part reports. This functionality is available to customers that have licensed the Export Designer utility.

“Costimator is incredibly straight forward and user-friendly. The process plans and other reports look great to a customer. It gives them the feeling that we’ve done our homework when estimating their parts, which they appreciate.

When I am on the phone talking to a customer they may want to get an estimate for a different quantity than originally requested, or have me estimate a similar part. I can keep them on the line, while I calculate the new estimate. Customers love that type of instantaneous response, which I believe helps us to get more orders.”
