Costimator OEM Database Library

Costimator OEM provides 25 years worth of invaluable manufacturing data. It provides real-world information that users can reference and work from, making cost modeling faster, more consistent and accurate. Companies that have their own data can also import that data into the library through the use of our Import Utility.

Work Center

This database also allows for operator fatigue, machine capabilities for performance and operator standards outside the machine cycle. This database comes with over 2,500 work center already developed.

IQBuilder

The IQBuilder Database allows the user to store and retrieve data into an estimate in two different methods. Using the list method, data will come directly from the tables of manufacturing times and costs that have been built into the database, performing a linear calculation to arrive at the manufacturing time and cost. Using the chart method, data will be derived from a regression analysis. The database within a millisecond finds the curve that best fits, and calculates the time or cost.

Standards

This time will then be added to the machine cycle time to develop the manufacturing time. The database comes with over 3000 pre-determined elements. These elements are assigned to Machine/Work Centers as needed. The user may add or delete elements from this database as needed.

Customers

The Customer Database allows the user to store information on their customers for easy retrieval. The data consists of information like name, customer number, multiple mailing addresses and multiple contacts. This database has no sample data; it is used to assign the estimates to a given customer.

Vendor

The Vendor Database allows the user to store and maintain data on vendors which they purchase either material or purchased items from. This database will store vendor name, vendor number and terms. The database allows for multiple addresses and multiple contacts. This database has to be purchased if customer buys either the Material or Purchased Item databases.

Purchased Items

The Purchased Items Database allows the user to input and store all the items that they purchase to be included in assemblies and sub-assemblies. Information is stored according to item name, quantity and price breaks. Price breaks are allowed by multi-vendors. An allowance is made for preferred vendor as well.

Material

The Material Database allows the user to store and maintain relevant data about commonly used materials. The shapes and sizes that the material is bought may be maintained with price by weight, stock, piece, etc... The price and speeds and feeds of the material may be maintained by the user as needed. The cost of material and the speeds and feeds data will be automatically included in the estimate as the material is selected. This database is populated by going and selecting the materials from a library of 2000+ materials.

Gage

The Gage Database allows the user to define any special gage purchases for any jobs, used throughout the manufacturing process. This database is then available for use at the estimate to account for all gaging cost.

Gage Frequency

The Gage Frequency Database allows the user to define the type of gage and number of occurrences in which it will be used to test a sample size.

Fixture

The Fixture Database allows the user to define all special fixtures and associate a cost against the fixture throughout the manufacturing process. The fixture cost is then available to be included in an estimate.

Material Handling

The Material Handling Database allows the user to define time elements to account for the movement of raw material and part stock from place to place during the manufacturing process. These elements are then provided at the estimate to account for the cost or time involved.

Engineering Costs

The Engineering database allows the user to specify there own engineering data. This data can be inserted at any point in an operation. This will replace the current engineering section that only permits the engineering times and costs to be specified once in the part. The costs do not need to be part of the unit cost.

Notes

The Notes Library will allow users to create standard remarks and insert those remarks into any remarks screen. Allow a fill-in-the-blank capability of either inputted data or data extracted from the open part.

Estimator

The Estimator Database is where the Costimator OEM user information is stored, including their name, initials, e-mail and phone.

Salesperson

The Salesperson Database is where you store information on the Salesperson responsible for the quote. The information includes the salesperson's name, initials, e-mail, phone and commission rate.

Terms

The Terms Database is where you add different terms (i.e. net 30 days) that you may want to choose from when creating a quote.

Plant

Plants can be used to store information on your own in-house manufacturing facilities or those of suppliers for the purpose of making cost comparison based on differences in costs and process capabilities.
