The Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis is the premiere non-profit organization dedicated to improving cost estimating and analysis in government and industry and enhancing the professional competence of its members.
SCEA publishes the Journal of Cost Analysis and Parametrics (in associated with the International Society of Parametric Analysts) and the National Estimator, administers a professional certification program leading to the designation of Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst, conducts an annual National Conference and Training Workshop, and offers forums and media for the sharing of knowledge and practices.
Goals of the Society include promoting the profession of cost estimating and analysis, fostering the professional growth of its members, enhancing the understanding and application of cost estimating, analysis and related disciplines throughout government and industry, and establishing standards in the industry with the promotion of a Common Body of Knowledge.
SCEA’s Annual National Conference features speakers from government, industry and academia in a dynamic forum to present and discuss major issues and topics. In addition to professional papers, the Annual Conference includes an array of training workshops focused on skills development. Regional seminars are designed to address specific topics of special interest. Local chapter meetings, held either monthly or quarterly, are designed to bring top speakers from local and national organizations to discuss current issues and interests.
